Virginia Healthcare Worker Faces Sex Offense Charges Involving a Child

According to WTVD, a healthcare worker from Franklin County, with previous employment in Wake County, now faces sex offense charges related to a child. The alleged crime occurred at a health clinic located in Spotsylvania County, approximately an hour north of Richmond.

Authorities have not released the name of the clinic involved, but they have provided details of the incidents. The first incident took place on November 7 at a clinic, where a 7-year-old girl was allegedly victimized. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office became aware of the situation after the child informed her mother about the incident.

Keith Allen Henry, a 55-year-old nurse practitioner, has been charged with felony aggravated sexual battery of a child under the age of 13. He was arrested on November 28 and is currently being held without bond at Pamunkey Regional Jail in Hanover County, Virginia.

During Henry's custody, authorities uncovered another case involving a 35-year-old patient. The victim reported that Henry inappropriately touched her during a medical examination at the same clinic. As a result, Henry now faces charges of misdemeanor sexual battery and attempted sexual battery in this additional case.

Law enforcement officials in Virginia are actively investigating to determine if there are more victims connected to Keith Allen Henry. The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Henry had previously worked at the Wake County Specialized Residential Home for Children on Kidd Road in Raleigh and at Hillside Nursing Center of Wake Forest on Wait Avenue.

Authorities are urging anyone with information or potential victims to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation. The safety and well-being of the community, particularly vulnerable individuals, are of utmost importance. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.

Seeking Justice: Civil Lawsuits Against Negligent Medical Centers

In the aftermath of a healthcare worker's recent arrest on sex offense charges at a clinic in Virginia, the importance of seeking justice for survivors and their families has come to the forefront. To dive deeper into this topic, we had the privilege of speaking with Kevin Biniazan, a respected sexual assault attorney based in Virginia. In this interview, Biniazan shares valuable insights on how survivors and their families can pursue civil lawsuits against negligent medical centers, highlighting the legal process and offering guidance for those seeking accountability and healing.

Darla Medina (DM): Thank you for joining us, Mr. Biniazan.

Kevin Biniazan (KB): Thank you, Darla. It's my pleasure to be here.

DM: In light of the recent arrest of a healthcare worker on sex offense charges involving a child at a clinic in Spotsylvania County, we would like to discuss how survivors and their families can seek justice through civil lawsuits against negligent medical centers. Could you shed some light on this matter?

KB: Absolutely, Darla. Civil lawsuits can provide a way for survivors and their families to seek justice and hold medical centers accountable for negligence in cases of sexual abuse or assault. These lawsuits can help survivors obtain compensation for the physical, emotional, and psychological harm they have endured.

DM: How can survivors and their families determine if they have a valid case against a medical center?

KB: It's essential for survivors and their families to consult with an experienced sexual abuse attorney who can evaluate their case. They will assess various factors, including the details of the incident, any evidence available, and the applicable laws and statutes of limitations.

DM: What steps should survivors and their families take if they believe a medical center was negligent in preventing or addressing the abuse?

KB: First and foremost, it's crucial to prioritize the survivor's well-being. They should seek immediate medical attention and report the incident to law enforcement. It's also advisable to gather any evidence available, such as medical records, photographs, or witness statements. Additionally, contacting a sexual abuse attorney is vital to ensure their rights are protected and guide them through the legal process.

DM: Are there any specific challenges survivors and their families may encounter when pursuing civil lawsuits against negligent medical centers?

KB: Yes, there can be challenges. Medical centers and their insurers often have legal teams that will vigorously defend against such claims. It's important for survivors and their families to have a skilled attorney on their side who can navigate the complexities of these cases, build a strong legal strategy, and fight for their rights.

DM: Finally, Mr. Biniazan, what message would you like to convey to survivors and their families who may be hesitant about pursuing a civil lawsuit?

KB: I want survivors and their families to understand that they are not alone. Seeking justice through a civil lawsuit can not only provide financial compensation but also contribute to holding negligent medical centers accountable. It can help prevent future instances of abuse and empower survivors to heal. Our legal system is designed to protect the rights of survivors, and I encourage them to reach out to an attorney who can guide them through this process with compassion and expertise.

DM: Thank you, Mr. Biniazan, for sharing your insights on this important matter and shedding light on how survivors and their families can seek justice through civil lawsuits. We appreciate your time and expertise.

KB: Thank you, Darla. It was my pleasure to be here and provide information on this critical topic.
