ABC 13 reported a former Spring Branch Independent School District (ISD) high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student over multiple years. The accused, identified as Lawrence Johnson Jr., a 50-year-old choir teacher at Memorial High School, located at 935 Echo Ln, Houston, TX 77024, was taken into custody Monday, December 18, 2023.
According to court records, Johnson is facing charges of sexual assault of a child and improper relationship with a student. The illicit relationship is said to have begun sometime in 2016 and lasted until 2018.
