Who Can Be Held Liable After A Tanker Truck Accident?

Attorney contributor Michael Haggard is an experienced tanker truck accident lawyer in Florida. Michael often represents injured victims or their surviving families for compensation after a truck accident. During a recent interview, he addressed who could be held liable in a tanker truck accident.

"As an attorney specializing in truck accident cases, I am deeply concerned about the safety of drivers and other motorists on the roads. All too often, truck drivers are subject to long hours and grueling schedules that can lead to fatigue, lack of sleep, and a heightened risk of accidents.

At the same time, gas tanker companies have a legal obligation to ensure that their drivers adhere to safety regulations and are properly trained in operating their vehicles. This includes making sure that drivers are not driving over the speed limit, are not overworked, and that their vehicles are properly maintained. When these safety regulations are not followed, it puts everyone on the road at risk of injury or death.

For victims or families of victims that have been killed in a truck accident, there are a variety of legal rights available to them. These include the right to seek compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Additionally, those affected may be able to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit if someone else’s negligence or recklessness caused the accident.

No one deserves to lose a loved one in a truck accident; when this happens, it’s important to hold those responsible accountable. Anyone who has been affected by a truck accident should contact an experienced attorney who can review the facts of the case and assist in pursuing the legal rights available. They can help the surviving family members of those killed in truck accidents identify any parties responsible."
