Compensation For Bar Shooting Victims
Attorney contributor Guy D'Andrea is an experienced gun violence lawyer in Pennsylvania that proudly helps victims of injuries such as bar shootings. In a recent interview, he discussed the legal options available for bar shooting victims and their families. With his legal guidance, victims and their families can seek justice and compensation for bar shooting injuries.
"As a violent crimes attorney, I am deeply troubled by the frequency of bar shootings and the devastating impacts these tragic events have on the victims and their families. It is the bar owner's and staff's responsibility to ensure the safety of all patrons and staff, and it is the duty of the bar owner to take reasonable steps to protect all individuals from foreseeable harm. When a bar fails to take these necessary precautions, and an individual is injured or killed as a result of a bar shooting, the victim and their family members may have the right to seek legal recourse and financial compensation.
Bar owners can be held liable for injuries sustained on their property due to a bar shooting if they failed to take the necessary safety precautions. This includes failing to have adequate security measures such as metal detectors and security cameras, not properly monitoring patrons, or not having a proper emergency plan in place. Additionally, if bar owners are found to have served alcohol to a patron who was visibly intoxicated, they may also be liable for any injuries resulting from a bar shooting.
No one should have to experience the pain and anguish of being a victim of a bar shooting. It is the bar’s responsibility to ensure that all patrons and staff are safe and secure while on their premises, and it is the duty of the law to hold negligent bars accountable for their failure to provide a safe environment. If you or a loved one have been injured in a bar shooting, you may have the right to seek compensation for your losses. Victims should contact an experienced attorney to discuss their legal rights and options."
