TX Massage Therapist Arrested for Sexual Assault

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a massage therapist accused of sexually assaulting a customer at a spa in The Woodlands. The alleged victim claims Kirinde Saddhanusari, 43, assaulted her at the Oasis Massage Salon located at 3759 FM 1488 #150, The Woodlands, TX 77382.

According to the authorities, the victim reported the incident to investigators, leading to Saddhanusari's arrest on August 14, 2024. He has been charged with one count of sexual assault. However, the sheriff's office is concerned that there may be additional victims, as the massage therapist allegedly confessed to having committed similar acts on multiple occasions with other customers.

Holding Massage Parlors Accountable for Sexual Assault

In the wake of the shocking arrest of a massage therapist accused of sexual assault, many victims may be wondering what recourse is available to them. To provide clarity on the legal rights and remedies, our team sat down with Anjali Nigam, an experienced sexual abuse lawyer in Texas, to discuss the steps victims can take to seek justice and hold negligent businesses accountable.

Editor Darla Medina: Thank you for speaking with us today. Can you explain what options are available for victims of sexual assault at a massage parlor like this?

Attorney Anjali Nigam: Absolutely. Victims of sexual assault at a massage parlor have several legal avenues they can pursue. First and foremost, they can file a criminal report with the local authorities, as the victim in this case has done. This can lead to criminal charges against the perpetrator.

Medina: And what about civil actions? What can victims do to hold the massage parlor itself accountable?

Nigam: Victims also have the right to file a civil lawsuit against the massage parlor. If it can be shown that the business failed to properly vet, train or supervise its employees, leading to the assault, then the victim may be able to recover damages. The parlor could be held liable for negligence in these types of cases.

Medina: That's good to know. So victims have options both criminally and civilly to seek justice and accountability. What advice would you give to other victims in similar situations?

Nigam: My advice would be to not stay silent. Report the assault to the authorities and strongly consider taking legal action. Massage parlors have a duty to provide a safe environment for their customers, and when they fail in that duty, victims deserve to be compensated. With the right legal representation, victims can achieve both accountability and closure.

Medina: Thank you for providing that valuable insight. It's an important reminder that victims have recourse and that we must work to prevent these types of abuses from happening in the first place.

Seeking Support and Justice

For victims of sexual assault at a massage parlor, the road to recovery can be long and difficult. However, it's important for them to know that they have options and resources available to help them seek the justice and accountability they deserve. By working with an experienced sexual abuse lawyer, victims can not only pursue criminal charges against the perpetrator, but also file civil lawsuits against the negligent massage business.
