The tragic accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle took place at 12:20PM on Friday, October 4th.
Dustin Gordon was riding his motorcycle on Cambridge Street when he was impacted by a tractor-trailer near the intersection with Carmenita Road. Emergency units responded promptly after the incident, but the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Few additional details have been released by authorities, though it has been reported that the driver of the truck was uninjured and remained at the scene cooperating with officials.
An investigation into the deadly motorcycle accident is still ongoing.
Jason Amala, contributor here at Legal Herald and an experienced tractor trailer accident attorney, shared the following comments for the families of victims who lost their lives in trucking accidents:
“When the negligence of others claims the life of a loved one, it’s normal for the family to seek and fight for justice on the victim’s behalf. By pursuing a truck or tractor-trailer accident, the grieving family can not only feel that justice has been served, but they can also achieve a full compensation for monetary and non-monetary damages such as:
The spouse, parents and even children of the victim who was killed are the individuals eligible to seek compensation via a tractor-trailer accident lawsuit. In some cases, though, others who were dependent of the deceased can also follow the same path.
Those affected by a truck accident should not wait to contact an attorney who has experience handling truck accident claims. They should also understand that a civil lawsuit is separate from criminal proceedings, and does not depend on charges being filed by authorities to move forward successfully.”
