Police Urge Other Victims of Dr. David D. House to Come Forward

Last Updated: 7/13/2020

Police in Orange County are seeking out potential additional victims of Dr. David D. House, who was accused of sexually assaulting a patient during an examination on August 23, 2016. The 59-year-old doctor was charged with felony sexual battery by fraud and misdemeanor sexual exploitation of a patient. An unnamed female victim told police that House touched her inappropriately in several parts of her body, including a fake breast examination that involved groping with no medical justification.

On May 18 of this year, a judge granted an order prohibiting House from seeing any more female patients without a third-party chaperone present for the duration of his criminal proceedings.

Victims and anyone else with more information have been encouraged to contact Investigator Stan Berry at (714) 664-3964.

How The Civil Court System Helps Victims of Sexual Assault

Bobby Thompson, an experienced doctor sexual assault attorney in California, has dedicated his professional career to fighting for justice on behalf of sexual assault survivors. He has offered to provide his thoughts on lawsuits for sexual assault victims:

“We all know that prosecution of sexual predators is handled by the criminal justice system. Nevertheless, the criminal justice system struggles to follow through with the arrest and conviction of such offenders in certain parts of the United States. The medical field has now been notorious for failing to sufficiently prosecute medical practitioners suspected of sexual harassment. Fortunately, filing a civil lawsuit for survivors of sexual assault will help provide justice and financial compensation,” Mr. Thompson shared.
