Hit by drunk driver attorney, Jason Amala, represents victims of drunk driving accidents and helps them recover the financial compensation they need and deserve. Below Bobby provides us with some of his knowledge on the legal options available to these victims:
In all 50 states, victims injured by drunk drivers or family members of victims killed by drunk drivers are able to directly sue the driver who caused the crash. And in many states, there may be another legal option available to these victims.
In California, third-party liability dram shop laws exist which may allow victims of drunk driving accidents to sue the alcohol vendor who provided the driver with alcohol before the crash. California’s dram shop law states an alcohol vendor or a social host may be held liable for drunk driving crash injuries if they provide alcohol to someone under the legal drinking age of 21 years old.
