Compensation for Elementary School Shooting Victims

Attorney contributor Kevin Biniazan has spent years pursuing school shooting lawsuits in the state of Virginia. As an experienced school shooting victim lawyer, Kevin discussed some of the legal rights available for victims injured in elementary school shootings.

"Elementary schools are legally responsible for providing a safe environment for both their students and teachers. In order to reduce the risk of preventable violence, there are a number of school security measures that should be in place. Just a few of these include patrolling resource officers, video monitoring systems, and single entries into the building. The school could be held responsible when a shooting occurs on the school campus."

"When a school has a history of violence yet fails to increase its security, a crime could be deemed foreseeable. If the school is found to have neglected its campus security, victims could be entitled to compensation. Victims of school shootings can learn more about filing a lawsuit by consulting with an experienced school shooting victim lawyer. "
