Justice For Victims Injured in Crashes Involving an 18-Wheeler

Attorney contributor Anjali Nigam is an experienced 18-wheeler accident victim attorney in the state of Texas. He recently shared his insight regarding the legal options available for victims injured in crashes involving an 18-wheeler or semi-truck.

"When a commercial truck is involved in an accident, the casualties can be severe, if not fatal. Most commercial trucks, such as 18-wheelers, are much heavier than other vehicles. They can weigh anywhere from 35,000 pounds empty to 85,000 pounds loaded. Determining the cause of an accident when a truck collides with another vehicle is important. The cause can be more than just the driver. Poor vehicle maintenance and driver error are only a few of the factors that can contribute to trucking accidents. Driver fatigue due to intense schedules and deadlines can lead to delayed responses to other drivers on the road. The commercial truck company could be held responsible for the damages caused by the collision if negligence was a factor."

"It is important to investigate if the accident was caused by carelessness or recklessness. The company responsible for the commercial truck could be held responsible for the damages if they were found negligent. By retaining an experienced commercial 18-wheeler accident victims accident lawyer, victims and their families can make sure they get the justice and compensation they deserve following a truck crash. Their legal representative will conduct a thorough examination to find out who is responsible for the accident. "
