According to ABC 13, three courageous women have taken legal action against Champions Forest Baptist Church located at 4515 Spring Stuebner Rd, Spring, TX 77389. The lawsuits include serious allegations of negligence in safeguarding them from sexual abuse during their time as minors. In their lawsuits, they are seeking damages totaling more than a million dollars.
The victims, aged 14, 15, and 16 at the time of the abuse, claim that the youth pastor, Timothy Jeltema, capitalized on his position of authority within the church to prey on them. Their distressing accounts shed light on the significant emotional and psychological toll they have endured.
The accused youth pastor, Timothy Jeltema, is currently serving a prison sentence after pleading guilty to child sex crimes.
