Last Update: 7/13/2020

Legal Analysis: In the second section of this article, sexual assault lawyer Jason Amala expands on the reasons for filing a lawsuit for sexual assault against a holistic practitioner or someone else in a position of trust.

Holistic practitioner Johnathan Darnell Butler was arrested on April 2 for allegedly sexually assaulting a client at one of his businesses – The Inner U in Granite Bay, California. The patient was allegedly unconscious at the time of the alleged assault.

Butler was arrested on suspicion of unlawful sexual penetration with a victim unconscious of the act.

The Inner U is located in the 8700 block of Auburn Folsom Road in Granite Bay. Butler practiced holistic medicine here and has also worked out of locations in Citrus Heights, Roseville, Sacramento, and other places outside of California.

These other locations include Cleveland, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Michigan.

Anyone else who believes that they’ve been victimized by Butler has been asked to call Detective Hann at 530-889-7844.

Can I Sue For Being Sexually Assaulted by a Holistic Practitioner?

California-based sexual assault lawyer Jason Amala represents victims in civil lawsuits against sexual predators and negligent third parties. Bobby has some info to share regarding the legal rights of those who have been sexually assaulted by holistic practitioners and others in positions of trust:

“Sexual predators are often in positions of trust or authority over their victims. These predators exploit the trust they have in order to commit horrible crimes. It’s important that the victims of sexual assaults by trusted professionals are aware of their legal rights. The first step is reporting a sexual assault to authorities to begin a criminal investigation, then grounds for a lawsuit can be looked into,” shared Mr. Amala.
