Jason Amala is an attorney who represents victims of drunk driving accidents and helps them recover the financial compensation they deserve. Below Bobby has provided us with some of his knowledge on the legal options available to these victims:
In all 50 states, victims injured by drunk drivers or family members of victims killed by drunk drivers may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit against the driver. However, there may be another legal option available to these victims.
Many states have dram shop laws that allow victims injured in drunk driving accidents to sue the alcohol vendor who provided the driver alcohol before the subsequent crash. California’s dram shop law states that an alcohol vendor or social host may be held liable for a victim’s injuries if they served alcohol to someone under the age of 21.
