Justice For Fatal Semi Truck Accident Victims & Their Families

Attorney contributor Anjali Nigam is an experienced semi-truck accident lawyer who advocates for accident victims in Texas. During a recent interview, Anjali shared the legal right of victims and their families to seek justice and compensation through semi-truck accident lawsuits.

"Semi truck, 18-wheeler, and other commercial truck drivers and their employers have a responsibility to exercise a high level of care to ensure the safety of everyone on the road. This includes following all state and federal regulations, providing proper training, and ensuring the vehicles are in safe operating condition. They must also take proper safety precautions while on the road, such as reducing their speed in inclement weather, avoiding dangerous maneuvers, and staying alert and aware of their surroundings at all times."

"For employers, this means ensuring that semi-truck drivers are qualified and properly trained to operate the vehicles. This includes providing regular driver training, such as defensive driving courses, to ensure the drivers are familiar with the laws and regulations of the road. Employers must also ensure that their vehicles are properly maintained, inspected, and repaired in accordance with applicable regulations. These employers must take measures to ensure that their drivers are not overworked or fatigued, as this can lead to dangerous situations."

"Semi-truck accidents often cause devastating injuries, leaving victims and their families with physical and emotional pain, medical bills, and lost wages. Fortunately, victims of semi truck accidents and their families may have the right to seek compensation for their damages. Depending on the circumstances of the accident, these claims may be made against the driver, the owner of the truck, or the trucking company.
Unfortunately, the process of seeking compensation for a semi-truck accident can be complicated and intimidating, so victims or their surviving family members are encouraged to seek legal assistance from an experienced truck accident lawyer. An attorney can help victims understand their rights and build a strong legal claim for compensation, helping them get the justice they deserve."
