Attorney contributor Jason Amala works for a massage therapist sexual assault law firm in California. Bobby has represented many victims sexually assaulted by massage therapists and discussed when they can file a civil lawsuit.
"Lately, there are many reports of sexual assault within the massage industry. Unfortunately, these victims are placed in vulnerable positions allowing perpetrators to exploit them. It is important that victims are aware of their legal rights when sexually abused by a massage therapist. They may have grounds to file a civil lawsuit if the facility neglected to prevent the abuse. In addition to conducting background checks, the facility should look into any reports of misconduct to prevent further dangers to their patients."
"Massage parlors and doctor's offices have a legal obligation to provide sufficient safety measures to protect their clients. Victims assaulted by a massage therapist can learn more about their legal right to financial compensation by consulting with an experienced sexual assault attorney."
