The unfinished Meadowlands shopping complex became the site of a construction death on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 9th.
It has been reported that the Hampton, NJ man was driving a Bobcat vehicle on the parking deck of the worksite when he hit a parked flatbed trailer. The victim was treated and transported to Hackensack Meridian Health by emergency responders, though he would later succumb to his injuries.
Local officials, along with OSHA, are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Guy D'Andrea, and experienced construction death attorney, offered the following information relevant to victims of construction site injuries or even death:
“A workplace injury can occur in any industry, though it should not be shocking to learn that a large portion of work accidents take place in the construction injury.

In these cases, the help of an experienced legal representative in filing a worker’s compensation claim can allow victims and their families the time they need to recover while their case is being handled. An experienced attorney will also be able to determine if additional compensation could be pursued through a lawsuit, a separate process that can be handled simultaneously to a worker’s comp claim.”
