Justice For Hookah Lounge Shooting Victims

Attorney contributor Laurence Banville has been securing justice for victims of violent crime in New York for years. He recently explained how the surviving family members can file a lawsuit for victims fatally shot at a hookah lounge.

"People have a right to feel safe while visiting a hookah lounge. Hookah lounge owners have a legal obligation to create this safe environment by implementing safety measures. This often includes is providing ample outdoor lighting, fully functional security cameras, and properly trained security personnel. A property owner's failure to uphold these safety precautions could land them liable in the instance of an injury or death."

"In the event of a fatal hookah lounge shooting, it is important to examine if more security could have prevented the shooting. If the hookah lounge owner did not take the necessary security precautions, they could be held accountable for their negligence."

"The surviving family members of those fatally shot at a hookah lounge may seek justice by filing a lawsuit against the negligent hookah lounge owner if they knew of the heightened risk for violence. Victims or their families should learn more about their legal options by consulting with a shooting victim attorney."
