An employee of the Northside Independent School District has been arrested amid allegations of an improper relationship with a special needs student, according to KSAT. The arrest of 32-year-old George Rene Aguilar Jr. comes following reports that he engaged in inappropriate conduct with a 16-year-old student. The district launched an immediate investigation at Warren High School, located at 9411 Military Dr W, San Antonio, TX 78251.
According to an arrest affidavit, Aguilar Jr. allegedly kissed and touched the student inappropriately. During police questioning, he reportedly admitted to having inappropriate contact with the student multiple times. Disturbingly, he also mentioned discussions about marriage and starting a family once she was no longer a student.
The Northside ISD responded swiftly. Administrators at Warren High School initiated an investigation in collaboration with the district’s Employee Relations and the police department as soon as they became aware of the allegations.
As part of the investigation, authorities reviewed video evidence showing Aguilar allegedly kissing the student in a classroom setting.
In light of the serious nature of these allegations, Aguilar was placed on administrative leave last Friday. A spokesperson for Northside ISD provided a statement emphasizing their commitment to cooperating with relevant agencies, including Child Protective Services and the San Antonio Police Department. The district noted that they are limited in what details can be shared due to the ongoing investigation.
