Experienced Truck Accident Attorney Offers His Input On The Legal Rights Of Accident Victims And Their Loved Ones

Laurence Banville, an experienced truck accident lawyer at Banville Law, has commented on the legal options that are typically available to those involved in truck accidents:

"It's a simple fact that the average American simly doesn't have the financial resources needed to fully recover after a truck accident. Auto insurance does cover damage to the car and might pay for a portion of the medical treatments needed to help a victim recover from serious injuries, however, once policy limits are met, payments stop.

Victims and their loved ones may be eligible to file a truck accident lawsuit that can help them to recover full compensation. The total amount that may be recovered through a settlement or verdict varies from case to case but it is based on actual losses.

The lawsuit is filed against the person or group whose negligence actually caused the accident to happen. Negligence occurs when a responsible party fails to act in a reasonable manner. For example, texting while driving is considered a negligent act because it takes the driver's eyes off the road.
