Attorney Contributor Speaks About The Legal Rights A Family Has After A Fatal Collision
Attorney contributor and experienced truck accident lawyer Laurence Banville of Banville Law has provided feedback on the type of legal action that a family could potentially take after a fatal accident.
"When someone is killed in an accident their loved ones, typically their parents, spouse, and children, often have the right to file a civil lawsuit against the responsible party. This truck accident lawsuit gives them the opportunity to seek compensation for the loss they have experienced.
This isn't to say that money can replace a life - it absolutely can't. However, many families are financially impacted by the death of a loved one. Common unexpected expenses include medical bills, therapy, and funeral and burial expenses, expenses that need to be faced with one less supporting income.
In addition to financial relief, a civil lawsuit can also provide a sense of justice since many accidents don't result in serious criminal charges.
If you or a loved one have been seriously injured in an accident be sure to contact an attorney as quickly as possible."
