Semi-Truck Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-26
Police had to close down the interstate for several hours following an accident involving a Jeep and a semi-truck. Officers have not commented on the cause of the accident and have only said that an investigation is pending. The only details that have been released are that the crash took place near mile marker 169 on I-26 early in the morning.

Experienced Truck Accident Attorney Comments On The Types Of Legal Action Available To The Victims
Laurence Banville of Banville Law has offered his thoughts on the legal options available to truck accident victims:
"Many truck accident victims believe that the auto insurance will cover any financial losses they sustain. While this may be true when it comes to the loss of a vehicle, auto insurance won't pay for a lifetime of medical care, lost wages, physical pain, or emotional trauma. When a victim discovers how their life will be impacted for the injuries they have sustained, this is when they typically turn to an attorney for help.
A truck accident lawsuit can provide significant compensation through a settlement or verdict. The lawsuit if filed against all parties whose negligence resulted in the accident. Common forms of negligence include:
- distracted driving
- poor truck maintenance
- improper signs or traffic lights
An experienced truck attorney can help identify all of the neligent parties, collect evidence, consult with industry efforts, and can handle all of the legal paperwork. There are time limits that apply when filing a claim so victims should call a lawyer as quickly as possible."
