Massage Therapist Benjamin Lamb Charged with Sexually Assaulting 2 Clients, Admits to Inappropriately Touching 50

Massage therapist Benjamin Lamb has been charged with sexually assaulting two clients at Men’s Spa Salon in Minneapolis and police say he admitted to inappropriately touching at least 50 men during massages.

The 65-year-old was charged on Tuesday, January 14, with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. According to the criminal complaint, Lamb said “that he receives a ‘perception’ from a client and proceeds to touch them in their private areas because he thought they would enjoy it. The defendant admitted that some men probably did not want to be fondled.”

According to a search warrant affidavit, Lamb allegedly sexually assaulting the two men in 2016 and 2019. This document did not specify where he allegedly touched the other 50 men. Lamb was fired from the Men’s Spa Salon on January 2.

The first victim contacted police in November 2019 to report that Lamb had sexually assaulted him during a massage at the spa. This man said that Lamb touched his genitals and that he froze, unable to respond. He then drove home and called the police.

Police started investigating this allegation and discovered another victim who had filed a complaint with the Minneapolis police regarding similar allegations against Lamb in 2016. This second victim told police that Lamb also touched his genitals during a massage in May 2016.

The Minneapolis police have encouraged anyone else who believes Lamb sexually assaulted them to contact the Minneapolis police sex crimes unit at 612-673-2941.

Legal Recourse For Victims of Massage Therapist Sexual Assault

Attorney contributor Brian Kent of AbuseGuardian.com has represented dozens of victims of massage therapist sexual assault in civil lawsuits against massage therapy businesses that have failed to protect their customers. Brian has offered to share his opinion on the legal rights of these victims:

Massage therapists are trusted to be alone with clients who are in vulnerable positions. With this trust, there comes the risk of abuse if untrustworthy people are working as massage therapists. This industry has recently become embroiled in a nationwide sexual assault scandal, as hundreds of massage therapy clients have reported being sexually assaulted by massage therapists.

Many victims of massage therapist sexual assault have begun standing up for their rights by filing lawsuits against massage therapy businesses for alleged negligence. Some of these assaults are preventable and may not have occurred if not for negligence by the business, such as ignoring previous complaints of sexual misconduct involving a massage therapist. In these cases of negligence, victims often have strong cases for lawsuits.

At Abuse Guardian, our sexual assault victims lawyers have helped dozens of victims take legal action against major nationwide massage therapy businesses like Massage Envy. If you or a loved one has been sexually assaulted by a massage therapist, we are prepared to help you find justice. You can learn more by contacting us for a free consultation.
