Lee Nails Owner Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Customer

The owner of Lee Nails in Louisville is facing criminal charges after a customer reported that he sexually assaulted her during a manicure. 45-year-old Quang Trong Le has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse.

Le owns several other salons in the Louisville area. He was arrested at the salon on Berry Boulevard on Wednesday, October 16.

The alleged victim, 18-year-old Alexis Isenhoward, spoke with WLKY Louisville about the alleged sexual abuse. She told the station that she made an Instagram post about the incident and that several other clients of Le reached out with similar allegations of sexual abuse by the salon owner.

Isenhoward says that Le told her he had a birthday gift for her in a back room after all other customers had left the salon. He allegedly sexually assaulted her in this room as she texted her brother for help. Surveillance video shows her getting into her brother’s vehicle at 9:53 p.m. and returning to the salon at 10:11 p.m. with police officers.

The Louisville Metro Police have not confirmed if they suspect that there are other victims, but this investigation remains ongoing.

Le was arraigned on Thursday, October 17 with a bond set at 10% of $10,000. He has been ordered to avoid all contact with Isenhoward. Le’s next court date is scheduled for November 5.

Legal Recourse For Salon & Spa Customers Sexually Assaulted by Workers

Former sex crimes prosecutor Brian Kent of AbuseGuardian.com represents victims of sexual assault in civil lawsuits. We’ve asked Brian to add some of his thoughts on the legal rights of people who have been sexually assaulted at salons and spas:

Customers of spas, salons, and all other businesses deserve to be treated professionally and with respect by the employees and owners of those businesses. Customers place their trust in these businesses. But sadly, sometimes sexual predators are found working in spas and salons, and these predators exploit this trust by sexually assaulting customers.

When a salon customer is sexually assaulted at the business, that customer should be aware of their legal rights. Along with reporting the perpetrator to law enforcement, the victim may have grounds for a lawsuit against the business where they were sexually assaulted.

If you or a loved one is a victim of sexual assault at a salon, spa, or another place of business, you can learn more about your legal options by contacting our experienced sexual assault victims lawyers for a free consultation.
