6th Clark County School District Employee Arrested in 2019

Warren is the sixth Clark County School District worker to be arrested this year. Four of those employees are accused of inappropriate sexual behavior with minors.

In March, CCSD contract employee and safe school professional Anthony Winston was arrested for alleged inappropriate behavior with two students at Chaparral High School. Winston also reportedly had a prior criminal record, including two domestic violence charges and an arrest for allegedly raping a person incapable of consent.

Legal Options For School Employee Abuse Victims

At Abuse Guardian, our team of former sex crimes prosecutors works to help survivors of sexual abuse find justice in civil courts. Here is some general information regarding the legal options available to survivors of abuse by school employees:

In any field that involves adults working with kids, it’s critical to guard against the threat of sexual predators. Sadly, predators often seek out positions in schools, religious organizations, and other fields where they’ll regularly be trusted to work with kids. Because of this tragic reality, school administrators must be diligent in properly screening new applicants and having preventative measures in place that can keep students safe from these predators.

When students come forward with allegations of abuse by school employees, it’s important to both prosecute the abuser and to determine if the school did everything they could to prevent or stop the abuse. In some cases, the abuse may not have occurred if it weren’t for negligence by the school district.

School liability for abuse by employees is a complex legal concept. In order to better understand your rights as a survivor of abuse, we advise speaking with an experienced sex abuse survivors lawyer.
