What Rights Do Truck Accident Victims Have After A Crash?

Laurence Banville, an attorney contributor at the Legal Herald, has commented on the legal rights of truck accident victims and their loved ones:

"If you or a loved one were injured in a truck accident it is quite possible that you may be owed significant compensation. However, this compensation won't just be handed over by the negligent party. A truck accident lawsuit must be filed and is typically the only way to recover full compensation for both past and future losses. This may include monetary losses such as medical bills and lost earnings and non-monetary losses such as physical pain and emotional trauma.

If the accident resulted in the death of a loved one, a wrongful death lawsuit can be filed by the surviving loved ones to recover additional compensation for funeral and burial costs.

The legal process is complex which is why working with an experienced attorney who is familiar with auto accident law. There are strict timelines when it comes to filing the legal paperwork so be sure to choose a legal team as quickly as possible."
