What Legal Rights Do Bus Accident Victims And Their Loved Ones Have After A Crash?
Attorney contributor Laurence Banville of Banville Law has commented on the legal rights of bus accident victims and their loved ones.
"Fatal accidents are deeply distressing, after all, a loved one has had their life cut short because of someone else's negligence. Losing someone you love is bad enough and the harsh reality is that it's not just an emotional loss. Families who lose a contributing member suffer financially as well.
A wrongful death lawsuit can help to provide the compensation that a family needs to pay for:
- funeral and burial costs
- the loss of income
- the loss of inheritance
- the loss of consortium
Those who are seriously injured but survive the crash can also take legal action against those who caused the collision. A truck or bus accident lawsuit can help injured victims pay for their past and future medical expenses, as well as lost income.
Working with an experienced attorney who can show examples of successful outcomes in past cases is important. Don't wait to contact a law firm, there are strict time limits when it comes to filing truck accident lawsuits."
