A 26-year-old science teacher, Elias Gordon Farley, at Donna Klein Jewish Academy located at 9701 Donna Klein Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33428, has been taken into custody following serious allegations involving a student. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Farley faces two felony charges: unlawful sexual activity with a minor and an offense against a student by an authority figure, according to ABC 25.
Investigators revealed that the inappropriate relationship reportedly began with casual conversations in late spring and escalated during the summer of 2025. By September, the student disclosed that sexual encounters occurred both on school grounds and at Farley’s apartment.
The investigation has unveiled substantial evidence, including school security footage, explicit exchanges documented in Google Docs, and various items obtained during a search warrant. This gathering of proof has raised significant concerns regarding the safety and well-being of students at the academy.
Following the student's disclosure to a teacher, school administration acted swiftly, reporting the allegations to law enforcement. Farley was arrested on December 3, 2025, and remains under investigation as authorities work to uncover more details surrounding this troubling case.

In the aftermath of allegations involving educators and students, navigating the legal landscape can be daunting for victims of sexual abuse. To better understand the options available, we spoke with Jen Lipinski, an experienced Florida sexual abuse lawyer. She highlights the rights of victims and the legal mechanisms they can employ to seek justice and accountability in the event of sexual abuse at a Jewish academy.
Editor Darla Medina: Thank you for joining us, Jen. What legal options do victims have if they are abused by a teacher?
Attorney Jen Lipinski: Victims can file criminal charges, as we see in this case, but they also have civil options. They may pursue a lawsuit against the teacher and, potentially, the school district for negligence.
Medina: Are there specific challenges they might face in these situations?
Lipinski: Yes, proving liability can be complex. Victims often encounter emotional barriers and may face scrutiny. However, with the right support, they can navigate these challenges effectively.
Medina: What steps should a victim take to begin the process?
Lipinski: They should first report the abuse to authorities and seek legal counsel. Documenting every detail around the incidents is also very important for building a strong case.
