A former teacher from Bartlett Independent School District faces grave allegations, including having an improper relationship with a student and possessing child pornography.
According to an arrest affidavit, a 17-year-old student accused Knox of inappropriate conduct, which allegedly occurred at his residence. The document details that Knox was aware the student was enrolled at Bartlett High School, located at 404 Robinson, Bartlett, TX 76511, where he worked as a licensed educator.
Jerod Lee Knox, 26, was taken into custody by Holland Police on January 22. He is charged with two second-degree felonies: Possession of Child Pornography and Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student. The investigation began following a report of inappropriate behavior at Bartlett High School in early January 2025.
The affidavit reveals that several other current and former students have been identified as potential victims of Knox's behavior. One former student divulged a prior relationship with Knox that involved sending explicit images and videos.
A search of Knox's phone reportedly uncovered more than ten videos featuring the student in compromising situations. Some of these videos are believed to date back to when the student was just 16-years-old.
Knox remains in custody at Bell County Jail as the legal proceedings advance. Moreover, the Texas Education Agency has placed him under review, with investigations ongoing since February 12, 2025.
