Del Oro High School Band Coach Faces Serious Charges

A walk-on band coach at Del Oro High School, located at  1750 E Panama Ln, Bakersfield, CA 93307, Salvador Fabian, has been charged with multiple felony offenses stemming from allegations of a sexual relationship with a student. Court records from Kern County Superior Court indicate that charges were filed on Thursday afternoon, according to BakersfieldNow.

Multiple Felony Charges Filed Against Band Coach

Fabian, 26, is facing six felony counts, including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor more than three years younger, sexual penetration of a foreign object involving a victim under 18, and oral copulation by a person over 21 with someone under 16. Additional charges include arranging a meeting with a minor and committing lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14.

Arrest Following Investigation

The investigation commenced when the Bakersfield Police Department’s Special Victims Unit responded to Del Oro High School on October 28, 2025. Reports indicated a suspected inappropriate relationship between an employee and a student. Following his arrest, the Kern High School District confirmed Fabian's employment and placed him on administrative leave.
